Tuesday was Patch Tuesday. Time to update your Windows operating systems and applications!
This time there were no critical updates, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take updating your computer seriously as there are a couple of important ones!
Take the time to also be sure that your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs are running, up-to-date and regularly scanning your computer. Also don't forget to defragment at least once a month. Information related to these monthly tasks can be found on ACSS's website.
Finally, I know that some people are rather frustrated with the ribbons in Office 2007. Perhaps you would like to return to the more familiar toolbars of previous versions of Microsoft Office. Well, there is a solution, although it'll cost you about $30.

You can download a free trial just to check it out.
I can't avoid encouraging people to consider using an Office suite that you can get for free. I highly recommend OpenOffice, which allows you to open and create Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
