ACSS Newsletter: Microsoft Emergency Patches

Whereas it is not the second Tuesday of the month and Microsoft is releasing patches tomorrow (Tuesday, July 28th), it can only mean that there is a serious security issue at stake.

The most important of the two patches concerns Internet Explorer. The primary vulnerability in Internet Explorer, however, relates to Visual Studio, which is the subject of the second patch. Although most subscribers to my newsletter probably do not use Visual Studio, this is no reason to not apply the patch(es) within the next week. Microsoft's patch for Internet Explorer does address other 'critical' vulnerabilities as well.

Patch Tuesday Tomorrow

July's Patch Tuesday is tomorrow. Within the next couple of weeks be sure to update your Microsoft software.

Tomorrow's patches will address three critical issues and three other important ones.
